European Alliance of Initiatives for Applied Anthroposophy 
An alliance of various anthroposophic associations and organisations was formed on June 29, 2006, to ensure a secure legal framework for the continuance of anthroposophic cultural initiatives in Europe. A campaign to collect 1 million signatures was launched.

Then, on May 13, 2011, the moment arrived when the alliance presented over 1 million European signatures to the European Commission in Brussels, along with a Memorandum describing the key concerns of the alliance. This made ELIANT one of the first initiatives to succeed in collecting the 1 million signatures required for a European Citizen Initiative (ECI).

ELIANT is thus using this new instrument for non-governmental groups desiring to influence political processes in the EU.
