International Postgraduate Medical Training / IPMT

The International Postgraduate Medical Training / IPMT has been organised since 2002 as a sequence of annual advanced medical training weeks in many different countries. Within this provision it is possible as a registered physician to acquire after five years the international certificate as an anthroposophical physician.
This training is also in the meantime available for the various therapeutic professions as well as for nurses and pharmacists as an advanced training opportunity and is much in demand. In 2012 there are 14 such IPMT weeks in all parts of the world: Santiago / Chile, Iloilo / Philippines, Auckland / New Zealand, Nagano / Japan, Fair Oaks / USA, Tauyuan / Taiwan, Järna / Schweden, Odessa / Ukraine, Krummau / Czechia, St.Petersburg / Russia, Dornach / Switzerland, Havana / Cuba, Lima / Peru und in Chennai / India. In total, about 900 physicians, medical students, therapists, nurses and pharmacists are expected to take part and acquire important skills for working in their country.
Considerable financial cost is associated with this advanced training provision. Contributions from participants mostly cover the local costs such as accommodation and subsistence for the lecturers, translations cost, etc. But in order to keep these contributions from participants at a realistic level – particularly in the financially and structurally weaker countries – the travel costs for lecturers, any fees as well as administrative costs in Dornach (including support for students from experienced mentors) must be financed through donations from foundations, medicine manufacturers and friends of this initiative.

If you wish to support this advanced training initiative, please indicate as the purpose of your donation: 60445/1297, IPMT (and, as appropriate, the country you wish to support)
